Week 3 April 21-27 Calendar of the Soul by Rudolf Steiner in English, French, German

Namaste dear Well Wishers,

Welcome to Verse 3 of the Calendar of the Soul Verses by Rudolf Steiner.
Hope you and your loved ones are well and thriving
in your part of the world.
If this is your birthday verse this week Birthday Blessings to you!

Over the past months we have been spending time each week with one of the 52 verses from the Calendar of the Soul meditations written in 1912 by Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925).  Now that we have reached the 52nd verse (after Easter) will continue from the 1st verse and builds towards Michaelmas.

On Sunday, April 21st, we move to Verse 3 (Week of April 21st – 27th).  The verses were originally written in German by Rudolf Steiner, included here are translations into English and French.

3. April 21-27 Calendar of the Soul

3. Third Week after Easter
(April 21st – 27th)
Thus to the World-All speaks,
In self-forgetfulness
And mindful of its primal state,
The growing human I:
In you, if I can free myself
From fetters of my selfhood,
I fathom my essential being.
(Translation: Pusch)

3. La Troisième semaine: 21-27 avril
A l’univers, il parle
Soi même s’oubliant
Se rappelant son origine
Le Je de l’homme, qui grandit :
Lorsque je m’affranchis en toi
De mes entraves personnelles,
Je fonde bien ma véritable essence.

(Traduction: Paccoud)

3. Woche:  21-27 April
Es spricht zum Weltenall,
Sich selbst vergessend
und seines Urstands eingedenk,
Des Menschen wachsend Ich:
In dir, befreiend mich
Aus meiner Eigenheiten Fessel,
Ergründe ich mein echtes Wesen.

The Meditations invite us to develop a deeper understanding of the spiritual forces at work throughout the year.

For Rudolf Steiner the year begins with Easter so the verses are numbered 1 to 26 for the summer half of the year (Easter to Michaelmas) and verses 27 to 52 for the winter months (Michaelmas to Palm Sunday).

Next week we return with Verse 4 (April 28th – May 4th) until then, be well.
Kindest regards,
Sri Devi
