Namaste dear Well Wishers,
Welcome to Verse 4 of the Calendar of the Soul Verses by Rudolf Steiner.
Hope you and your loved ones are well and thriving
in your part of the world.
If this is your birthday verse this week Birthday Blessings to you!
Over the past months we have been spending time each week with one of the 52 verses from the Calendar of the Soul meditations written in 1912 by Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925). Now that we have reached the 52nd verse (after Easter) will continue from the 1st verse and builds towards Michaelmas.
On Sunday, April 28th, we move to Verse 4 (Week of April 28th – May 4th). The verses were originally written in German by Rudolf Steiner, included here are translations into English and French.
4. Fourth Week after Easter
(April 28th – May 4th)
I sense a kindred nature to my own:
Thus speaks perceptive feeling
As in the sun-illumined world
It merges with the floods of light;
To thinking’s clarity
My feeling would give warmth
And firmly bind as one
The human being and the world.
4. Woche: 28 April – 4 Mai
Ich fühle Wesen meines Wesens:
So spricht Empfindung,
Die in der sonnerhelten Welt
Mit Lichtesfluten sich vereint;
Sie will dem Denken
Zur Klarheit Wärme schenken
Und Mensch und Welt
In Einheit fest verbinden.
The Meditations invite us to develop a deeper understanding of the spiritual forces at work throughout the year.
For Rudolf Steiner the year begins with Easter so the verses are numbered 1 to 26 for the summer half of the year (Easter to Michaelmas) and verses 27 to 52 for the winter months (Michaelmas to Palm Sunday).
Next week we return with Verse 5 (May 5th – 11th) until then, be well.
