Namaste dear Well Wishers,

Welcome to Verse 26 of the Calendar of the Soul Verses by Rudolf Steiner.
Hope you enjoy a beautiful week ahead.
Blessings on all you do!
Sri Devi

We are spending time each week with one of the 52 verses from the Calendar of the Soul meditations written in 1912 by Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925).

Today, on Saturday, September 29th 2012, we move to Verse 26 (Week of September 29th – October 5th).  The verses were originally written in German by Rudolf Steiner, included here are translations into English and French.

26. Twenty-sixth Week after Easter
(September 29th – October 5th)
Michaelmas

O Nature, your maternal life
I bear within the essence of my will.
And my will’s fiery energy
Shall steel my spirit striving,
That sense of self springs forth from it
To hold me in myself.

26. Vingt-sixième semaine: 29 septembre – 5 octobre
Ambiance de la Saint Michel

Ton être maternel Nature;
Je le porte en ma volonté
De mon esprit trempe l’ardeur,
Pour que, de cette ardeur, le sentiment du Moi
Surgisse, et que je sois de ce Moi le porteur.

26. Woche: 29 September – 5 Oktober
Michaeli Stimmung

Natur, dein mütterliches Sein,
Ich trage es in meinem Willenswesen;
Und meines Willens Feuermacht,
Sie stählet meines Geistes Triebe,
Dass sie gebären Selbstgefühl,
Zu tragen mich in mir.

The Meditations invite us to develop a deeper understanding of the spiritual forces at work throughout the year.

For Rudolf Steiner the year begins with Easter so the verses are numbered 1 to 26 for the summer half of the year (Easter to Michaelmas) and verses 27 to 52 for the winter months (Michaelmas to Palm Sunday).

Next week we return with Verse 27 (October 6th – 12th) until then, be well.
Kindest regards,
Sri Devi
