Namaste dear Well Wishers,
How was your week?
Happy start to Autumn with the Fall Equinox!
Blessings on the week ahead!
As promised, we continue our exploration of the Exercises for the Days of the Week by Rudolf Steiner as we move to Monday: Right Word. There’s a lot to say on this one! There are two sections below:
Would you like to join me for a weekly practice designed to develop one’s soul qualities through Rudolf Steiner’s Exercises for the Days of the Week?
In Rudolf Steiner’s words translated into English, he states:
We usually perform certain soul processes without care or attention.
There are eight of these to which we must now begin to give close attention to and care for:
- Thinking (Right Thinking) – Saturday
- Judging (Right Judgement) – Sunday
- Speaking (Right Word) – Monday
- Doing (Right Deed) – Tuesday
- Organizing (Right Standpoint) – Wednesday
- Caring (Right Striving) – Thursday
- Remembering (Right Memory) – Friday
- Examining (Right Meditation) – Summary
Rudolf Steiner suggests that it is best undertaking only one process or exercise at a time, we started with the first exercise Saturday: Right Thinking and worked with it for one week, last week we worked with Sunday: Right Judgement now we move our attention to Monday: Right Word and so on until beginning again.
The 8th Exercise Right Meditation is recommended as a daily practice, it helps us, Steiner explains: “to gradually attain true self-knowledge as well as monitor our progress.”
After we have gone through the whole sequence of exercises in this way, we are then to practice the sequence, beginning with Saturday for about five minutes on a daily and weekly basis.
Next Tuesday, we’ll be back with the guidelines for Tuesday: Right Deed.
Hope you have a wonderful week in your part of the world.
Feel free to let us know if you are joining in on these Exercises of the week.
Blessings on all you do!
Kind regards,
Sri Devi

Greetings,
Thanks for your interest.
The exercises come from a book called Start Now! a book of soul and spiritual exercises by Rudolf Steiner/ edited and introduced by Christopher Bamford.
Below is a link to the book if this is allowed on WordPress (highlight the whole lot and see if you can open it up in a new tab or page).
Always Blessings,
Sri
