Happy Earth Day Greeting Card by Sun at Night Studios

Namaste Well Wishers,
Happy Earth Day wherever you are in the world!

One World, One People Greeting Card by Corrie Kuipers

Word Press now has a tracker of where our readers are from and it’s wonderful to welcome visits from all over the globe.

Since February 25th 2012 the readers most often visiting the Well Wishers Group have come from the following countries: United States, India, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, South Africa, Philippines, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Germany, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Bulgaria.  We’ve almost had 10,000 visitors so far.  Thank you for sending well wishes throughout the world!

The Moon links us all no matter where we are in the world and Project Moon Log is looking at the predominant energy that prevails as the Moon travels through each sign of the zodiac.  In keeping with the glorious energy of Taurus it is perfectly suited to today’s celebration of Mother Earth in Earth Day.  How will you be celebrating?  How are you kind to the Earth throughout the year?  A master of resources and ideas for kind ideas towards life is Alicia Silverstone through her book the Kind Diet and her website dedicated to the Kind Life.

Project Moon Log – Observations for the Moon in Taurus
(please see previous post for the overall mood and pointers to look out for)

A notebook has now been dedicated to the project with a page for each day to write down anything related and to keep track of where the moon is and all the timings for the next month.  How about you, will you do the same?  If you aren’t already a follower of the Well Wishers Group Blog, this could be a perfect opportunity to sign up, you can do so by providing your e-mail address to the right of this page.

With Venus energy, pampering is encouraged, and while I was not the recipient of the massage a reflexology client had an appointment with me yesterday.  Good timing to schedule appointments at this time of luxury.  The next time the Moon is in Taurus is May 18th and 19th 2012.

In keeping with scheduling appointments, there is an area of astrology called Medical Astrology whereby wisdom from Hippocrates, the founding father of medicine, brings us valuable insight into when best to schedule surgical procedures, or not as the case may be.

Hippocrates, based his knowledge on Astrology and each part of the body is ruled by a sign of the zodiac.  In fact, in his diaries he wrote: “He who practices medicine without the benefit of the movement of the stars and planets is a fool.”  Further to this he advises:  “Touch not with iron that part of the body ruled by the sign the Moon is transiting.”

It means that one is not to undergo surgery (use of a knife, iron) on the part of the patient’s body which is ruled by the astrological sign that the Moon is moving through at that time.  Why not you may well ask?

According to Hippocrates, and proven repeatedly, surgery done at the wrong time inevitably results in:  A/ complications, including infection, B/slow and painful healing and recuperation and C/fatality.  The first and second cases are the most common, and in the third case, an explanation could be “the operation was a success but the patient died.”

So, let’s take the example for today with the Moon being in Taurus, and Taurus ruling the neck and throat it would be advisable not to have a tonsillectomy done.  See how it works?

Why is it though that the Moon controls our bodies and emotions so, perhaps more than we may realize?  If the Moon controls the ocean’s tides, the opening and closing of oyster shells, women’s menstrual cycles and our bodies are made up of more than 85% water then it’s not difficult to make the link.  By opening up the body for surgery and exposing it to air it is interrupting the tidal flow of the body and the parts of the body ruled by whatever astrological sign the Moon is transiting at the time are particularly vulnerable.

Strangely, I’ve come down with a sore throat as of yesterday, hope all this talk of the area of weakness in the body with the signs will not continue throughout the next 28 days!

A fellow artist on Greeting Card Universe, Betsy Bush, made a comment on yesterday’s post how she was very interested in the effect the Moon has on us having been in the restaurant business for 33 years – they sure know when it’s a Full Moon!

Hope you will also join in with your thoughts and observations, either by leaving a comment or by e-mailing directly to bringingkindnesstolife@gmail.com.

Blessings on your day,
Kind regards,
Sri Devi
