Sunday Blessings through Heart to Art Purple Crown Lotus

Namaste dear Well Wishers,
Happy Sunday!

As I sip some ginger tea in the beautiful travel mug I was gifted last week by one of my Grade Two students, I am grateful to be here at this moment, at the beginning of summertime.

The travel mug I received features the artwork ‘Eagle’s First Flight’ by Ernest Swanson of the Haida tradition.

In the words of the artist:

“This image represents taking control of our own lives, feeling the freedom of flight. And in the body represents the inner child or as I have depicted the raven child or creator in all of us. Which I think is the source of our creative spirit, the child like wonder in all of us. So don’t forget to nurture our inner child in all seriousness of flight.”

So, as I welcome you to the nineteenth piece in the Heart to Art collection, may you have the time and inspiration to let your own creative longings take flight this summer!

The Purple Crown Lotus mandala below is an invitation to enter the meditative state.

This piece is inspired by the meditative music of Ashtar Ron Allen, from his album Natural Meditation.

Blessings always, all ways!
