Week 10 June 9-15 Calendar of the Soul by Rudolf Steiner in English, French, German

Namaste dear Well Wishers,

Welcome to Verse 10 of the Calendar of the Soul Verses by Rudolf Steiner.
Hope you and your loved ones are well and thriving
in your part of the world.
If this is your birthday verse this week Birthday Blessings to you!

Over the past 11 months we have been spending time each week with one of the 52 verses from the Calendar of the Soul meditations written in 1912 by Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925).  Now that we have reached the 52nd verse (after Easter) we have started from the 1st verse and are building towards Michaelmas.

On Sunday, June 9th, we move to Verse 10 (Week of June 9th – 15th).  The verses were originally written in German by Rudolf Steiner, included here are translations into English and French.

10. Tenth Week after Easter
(June 9th – 15th)
To summer’s radiant heights
The sun in shining majesty ascends;
It takes my human feeling
Into its own wide realms of space.
Within my inner being stirs
Presentiment which heralds dimly,
You shall in future know:
A godly being now has touched you.
(Translation: Pusch)

10. La Dixième semaine:  9-15 juin
C’est jusqu’aux cimes estivales
Que l’être du soleil tout lumineux s’élève;

(Traduction: Paccoud)

10. Woche:  9-15 Juni
Zu sommerlichen Höhen
Erhebt der Sonne leuchtend Wesen sich;
Es nimmt mein menschlich Fühlen
In seine Raumesweiten mit.
Erahnend regt im Innern sich
Empfindung, dumpf mir kündend,
Erkennen wirst du einst:
Dich fühlte jetzt ein Gotteswesen.

The Meditations invite us to develop a deeper understanding of the spiritual forces at work throughout the year.

For Rudolf Steiner the year begins with Easter so the verses are numbered 1 to 26 for the summer half of the year (Easter to Michaelmas) and verses 27 to 52 for the winter months (Michaelmas to Palm Sunday).

Next week we return with Verse 11 (16th-22nd June) until then, be well.
Kindest regards,
Sri Devi
