If this is your birthday verse this week Birthday Blessings to you!

Over the coming months we are spending time each week with one of the 52 verses from the Calendar of the Soul meditations written in 1912 by Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925).

On Saturday, March 16th 2013, we move to Verse 50 (Week of March 16th – 22nd).  The verses were originally written in German by Rudolf Steiner, included here are translations into English and French.

50. Fiftieth Week after Easter
(March 16th – 23rd)
Thus to the human ego speaks
In mighty revelation,
Unfolding its inherent powers,
The joy of growth throughout the world:
I carry into you my life
From its enchanted bondage
And so attain my truest goal.

(Translation: Pusch)

50. Cinquantième semaine:  16-22 mars
Au moi de l’homme parle,
Dévoilant toute sa puissance
Et libérant les forces de son être,
La joie du devenir du monde :
En toi ma vie délivrant
De son magique enchantement,
J’atteins mon véritable but.

(Traduction: Paccoud)

50. Woche:  16-22 März
Es spricht zum Menschen-Ich,
Sich machtvoll offenbarend
Und seines Wesens Kräfte lösend,
Des Weltendaseins Werdelust:
In dich mien Leben tragend
Aus seinem Zauberbanne,
Erreiche ich mein wahres Ziel.

The Meditations invite us to develop a deeper understanding of the spiritual forces at work throughout the year.

For Rudolf Steiner the year begins with Easter so the verses are numbered 1 to 26 for the summer half of the year (Easter to Michaelmas) and verses 27 to 52 for the winter months (Michaelmas to Palm Sunday).

Next week we return with Verse 51 (March 23rd – 29th) until then, be well.
Kindest regards,
Sri Devi
