Week 46 February 16-22 Calendar of the Soul by Rudolf Steiner in English, French, German

Namaste dear Well Wishers,

Welcome to Verse 46 of the Calendar of the Soul Verses by Rudolf Steiner.
Hope you and your loved ones are well and thriving.
If this is your birthday verse this week Birthday Blessings to you!

Over the coming months we are spending time each week with one of the 52 verses from the Calendar of the Soul meditations written in 1912 by Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925).

On Saturday, February 16th 2013, we move to Verse 46 (Week of February 16th – 22nd).  The verses were originally written in German by Rudolf Steiner, included here are translations into English and French.

46. Feb 16-22 Calendar of the Soul

46. Forty-sixth Week after Easter
(February 16th – 22nd)
The world is threatening to stun
The inborn forces of my soul;
Now, memory, come forth
From spirit depths, enkindling light;
Invigorate my inward sight
Which only by the strength of will
Is able to sustain itself
.
(Translation: Pusch)

46. Quarante sixième semaine:  16-22 février
Le monde, il menace d’étourdir
La force naturelle de mon âme ;
Parais alors, ô souvenir
Tout lumineux, du profond de l’esprit
Fortifie mon regard
Qui par les seules forces de la volonté
Se peut soi-même maintenir.
(Traduction: Paccoud)

46. Woche:  16-22 Februar
Die Welt, sie drohet zu betäuben
Der Seele eingeborene Kraft;
Nun trete du, Erinnerung,
Aus Geistestiefen leuchtend auf
Und stärke mir das Schauen,
Das nur durch Willenskräfte
Sich selbst erhalten kann.

The Meditations invite us to develop a deeper understanding of the spiritual forces at work throughout the year.

For Rudolf Steiner the year begins with Easter so the verses are numbered 1 to 26 for the summer half of the year (Easter to Michaelmas) and verses 27 to 52 for the winter months (Michaelmas to Palm Sunday).

Next week we return with Verse 47 (February 23rd – March 1st) until then, be well.
Kindest regards,
Sri Devi
