On Saturday, December 8th, we move to Verse 36 (Week of December 8th – 14th).  The verses were originally written in German by Rudolf Steiner, included here are translations into English and French.

36. Thirty-sixth Week after Easter
(December 8th – 14th)
Within my being’s depths there speaks,
Intent on revelation,
The cosmic Word mysteriously:
Imbue your labor’s aims
With my bright spirit light
To sacrifice yourself through me.
(Translation: Pusch)

36. Woche:  8-14 Dezember
In meines Wesens Tiefen spricht
Zur Offenbarung drängend
Geheimnisvoll das Weltenwort:
Erfülle deiner Arbeit Ziele
Mit meinem Geisteslichte,
Zu opfern dich durch mich.

The Meditations invite us to develop a deeper understanding of the spiritual forces at work throughout the year.

For Rudolf Steiner the year begins with Easter so the verses are numbered 1 to 26 for the summer half of the year (Easter to Michaelmas) and verses 27 to 52 for the winter months (Michaelmas to Palm Sunday).

Next week we return with Verse 37 (December 15th – 21st) until then, be well.
Kindest regards,
Sri Devi
