On Saturday, December 1st, we move to Verse 35 (Week of December 1st – 7th).  The verses were originally written in German by Rudolf Steiner, included here are translations into English and French.

35. Thirty-fifth Week after Easter
(December 1st – 7th)
Can I know life’s reality
So that it’s found again
Within my soul’s creative urge?
I feel that I am granted power
To make my self, as humble part,
At home within the cosmic Self.
(Translation: Pusch)

35. Woche:  1-7 Dezember
Kann ich das Sein erkennen,
Daß es sich wiederfindet
Im Seelenschaffensdrange?
Ich fühle, daß mir Macht verlieh’n,
Das eigne Selbst dem Weltenselbst
Als Glied bescheiden einzuleben.

The Meditations invite us to develop a deeper understanding of the spiritual forces at work throughout the year.

For Rudolf Steiner the year begins with Easter so the verses are numbered 1 to 26 for the summer half of the year (Easter to Michaelmas) and verses 27 to 52 for the winter months (Michaelmas to Palm Sunday).

Next week we return with Verse 36 (December 8th – 14th) until then, be well.
Kindest regards,
Sri Devi
