Namaste dear Well Wishers,

Welcome to Verse 31 of the Calendar of the Soul Verses by Rudolf Steiner.
Hope you and your loved ones are well and thriving.

Over the coming months we are spending time each week with one of the 52 verses from the Calendar of the Soul meditations written in 1912 by Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925).

On Saturday, November 3rd 2012, we move to Verse 31 (Week of November 3rd – 9th).  The verses were originally written in German by Rudolf Steiner, included here are translations into English and French.

31. Thirty-first Week after Easter
(November 3rd – 9th)

The light from spirit depths
Strives to ray outwards, sun-imbued;
Transformed to forceful will of life
It shines into the senses’ dullness
To bring to birth the powers
Whereby creative forces, soul-impelled,
Shall ripen into human deeds.

(Translation: Pusch)

(Traduction: Paccoud)

31. Woche:  3-9 November
Das Licht aus Geistestiefen,
Nach aussen strebt es sonnenhaft:
Es wird zur Lebenswillenskraft
Und leuchtet in der Sinne Dumpfheit,
Um Kräfte zu entbinden,
Die Schaffensmächte aus Seelentrieben
Im Menschenwerke reifen lassen.

The Meditations invite us to develop a deeper understanding of the spiritual forces at work throughout the year.

For Rudolf Steiner the year begins with Easter so the verses are numbered 1 to 26 for the summer half of the year (Easter to Michaelmas) and verses 27 to 52 for the winter months (Michaelmas to Palm Sunday).

Next week we return with Verse 32 (November 10th – 16th) until then, be well.
Kindest regards,
Sri Devi
