On Saturday, October 20th 2012, we move to Verse 29 (Week of October 20th – 26th).  The verses were originally written in German by Rudolf Steiner, included here are translations into English and French.

29. Twenty-ninth Week after Easter
(October 20th – 26th)

To fan the spark of thinking into flame
By my own strong endeavor,
To read life’s inner meaning
Out of the cosmic spirit’s fount of strength:
This is my summer heritage,
My autumn solace, and my winter hope.

29. Woche:  20-26 Oktober
Sich selbst des Denkens Leuchten
Im Innern kraftvoll zu entfachen,
Erlebtes sinnvoll deutend
Aus Weltengeistes Kräftequell,
Ist mir nun Sommererbe,
Ist Herbstesruhe und auch Winterhoffnung.

The Meditations invite us to develop a deeper understanding of the spiritual forces at work throughout the year.

For Rudolf Steiner the year begins with Easter so the verses are numbered 1 to 26 for the summer half of the year (Easter to Michaelmas) and verses 27 to 52 for the winter months (Michaelmas to Palm Sunday).

Next week we return with Verse 30 (October 27th – Nov 2nd) until then, be well.
Kindest regards,
Sri Devi
