Week 22 September 1 – 7 Calendar of the Soul by Rudolf Steiner in English, French, German

Namaste dear Well Wishers,

Welcome to Verse 22 of the Calendar of the Soul Verses by Rudolf Steiner.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing a moment together.
Blessings on all you do!
Sri Devi

We are spending time each week with one of the 52 verses from the Calendar of the Soul meditations written in 1912 by Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925).

Today, on Saturday, September 1st 2012, we move to Verse 22 (Week of September 1st – 7th).  The verses were originally written in German by Rudolf Steiner, included here are translations into English and French.

22. Twenty-second Week after Easter (September 1-7)

The light from world-wide spaces
Works on within with living power;
Transformed to light of soul
It shines into the spirit depths
To bring to birth the fruits
Whereby out of the self of worlds
The human self in course of time shall ripen.

22. Vingt-deuxième semaine: 1-7 septembre

L’espace universel d’éverse une lumière
Qui prolonge avec force en moi son existence;
Elle y devient clarté de l’âme,
Et dans les profondeurs de l’esprit elle brille;
Elle délie ainsi les fruits,
Le moi de l’univers faisant au cours des temps
Mûrir le moi de l’homme.

22. Woche: 1-7 September

Das Licht aus Weltenweiten,
Im Innern lebt es kräftig fort:
Es wird zum Seelenlichte
Und leuchtet in die Geistestiefen,
Um Früchte zu entbinden,
Die Menschenselbst aus Weltenselbst
Im Zeitenlaufe reifen lassen.

The Meditations invite us to develop a deeper understanding of the spiritual forces at work throughout the year.

For Rudolf Steiner the year begins with Easter so the verses are numbered 1 to 26 for the summer half of the year (Easter to Michaelmas) and verses 27 to 52 for the winter months (Michaelmas to Palm Sunday).

Next week will be Verse 23 (September 8-15), until then, be well.
Kindest regards,
Sri Devi
