Week 17 July 28 – August 3 Calendar of the Soul by Rudolf Steiner in English, French, German

Namaste Well Wishers,

On Saturday, July 28th 2012, we move to Verse 17 the next of 52 verses from the Calendar of the Soul meditations written in 1912 by Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925).

Verse 17 (Week of July 28th – August 3rd) includes a translation into English and French from the original verse in German by Rudolf Steiner.

17. Seventeenth Week after Easter (July 28 – August 3)

Thus speaks the cosmic Word
That I by grace through senses’ portals
Have led into my inmost soul:
Imbue your spirit depths
With my wide world horizons
To find in future time myself in you.

17. Woche 28. Juli – 3 August

Es spricht das Weltenwort,
Das ich durch Sinnestore
In Seelengründen durfte führen:
Erfülle deine Geistestiefen
Mit meinen Weltenweiten,
Zu finden einstens mich in dir.

The Meditations invite us to develop a deeper understanding of the spiritual forces at work throughout the year, using this spiritual research as a path for self knowledge.

For Rudolf Steiner the year begins with Easter so the verses are numbered 1 to 26 for the summer half of the year (Easter to Michaelmas) and verses 27 to 52 for the winter months (Michaelmas to Palm Sunday).

Next will be Verse 18 (August 4-10), until then, be well.
Kindest regards,
Sri Devi
