Week 15 July 14-20 Calendar of the Soul by Rudolf Steiner in English, French, German

Namaste Well Wishers,

Sending Peace, Light & Love to All from the Well Wishers Group Blog

Today, on July 14th 2012 marks the One Year Anniversary of the Well Wishers Group Blog.

Wanted to honour this occasion in a special way, one that is meaningful, will take a year to unfold and is a gift to blossom over time.

Over the coming year, on a weekly basis we will have a look at one of the 52 verses from the Calendar of the Soul meditations written in 1912 by Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925).

They invite us to develop a deeper understanding of the spiritual forces at work throughout the year. Let’s see, hear, feel what we find out together through our spiritual research as a path for self knowledge.

For Rudolf Steiner the year begins with Easter so the verses are numbered 1 to 26 for the summer half of the year (Easter to Michaelmas) and verses 27 to 52 for the winter months (Michaelmas to Palm Sunday).

We begin with Verse 15 (Week of July 14th – 20th) and with the intention of reaching more people, this Calendar of the Soul series will include a translation into English and French from the original verse in German by Rudolf Steiner.

Artwork by Kristina Kiil

I feel as if entranced
by the cosmic glory of the spirit’s weaving.
It sheathes my separate being,
muffling my senses,
and gives me the strength
that my I in its narrowness
is powerless to give itself.

15. Woche 14. – 20. Juli

Ich fühle wie verzaubert
Im Weltenschein des Geites Weben:
Es hat in Sinnesdumpfheit
Gehüllt mein Eigenwesen,
Zu schenken mir die Kraft:
Die, ohnmächtig sich selbst zu geben,
Mein Ich in seinen Schranken ist.

Next will be Verse 16 (July 21-27), until then, Best Wishes!
Kindest regards,
Sri Devi
