Planet Neptune

Neptune is the modern co-ruler of Pisces, a dreamy planet characterized by vision, imagination and illusion.

As the twelfth sign of the zodiac, we have travelled from Aries with the birth of spring and man as a baby, towards the evolution of man as an old soul carrying an overview of human kind, bringing us to the imminent rebirth of spring in Aries.

It’s been said that while Virgos (the opposite sign of Pisces) can spot what is wrong with a given situation, Pisces with their gift of vision are able to see what a situation could be.  Pisces are often regarded as the kindest and most sympathetic of all signs of the zodiac, they are compassionate and self-sacrificing.

The symbol for Pisces is Two Fishes tied together with a cord and swimming in opposite directions.  The written symbol or glyph for Pisces is ♓ gives a strong insight into the Piscean personality, at one moment a certain course or direction is taken and then for another deeply felt reason an opposite course of action is taken.

As an Element of the Water Pisceans are intuitive and sensitive, with Pisces being the most sensitive sign of the zodiac.  Great care must be made as to what is taken into the Piscean system whether it be chemically or emotionally.  Think how easily a fish becomes toxic with the poisons that exist in their environment.

Pisces is situated in the transition of seasons from Winter to Spring, so to labor with love in their chosen field of work, they are a Mutable sign (communicator) which translates into jobs or careers where they are a communicator of thought and action.

Specifically, as a Water sign Pisceans do best in jobs that move around are multi-layered, flexible and somewhat mysterious.  People naturally tell Pisceans their problems, so it would make sense to be in a field of this nature and be paid for for it too (as long as support is provided for the billing of clients!).  There is also a strong pull towards the mysteries of life through science, Einstein was a Pisces.  People can feel Piscean’s genuine care for them and healing presence, so work in hospitals or with plants is also rewarding.  The Arts serve as an important creative outlet where dreams can come true.

Pisces rules the feet, lymphatic system, poisoning and toxicity.  A vulnerable point for Pisceans is a high susceptibility to alcohol and drugs, the fish can easily get “hooked”.  They can also be easily drawn to unpredictable situations and unbalanced people.

Pisceans remind us of the dreams and beauty of life that remain unexpressed.  They are floating underneath the surface and Pisceans are happiest when helping others find their way to self discovery.

Thank you to our poetic Piscean friends who are wonderful listeners and compassionate companions who share a flair for the romantic side of life with us.  May Pisceans feel grounded and firm in their own commitment to the beautiful dreams that live within so they too can blossom in this world.

We could take a page out of our Piscean friends’ book this month and tap into our feelings of unconditional love bringing them forth through practical action by being more forgiving, compassionate, listening without judgement, and being tolerant and more accepting of each other.
