Namaste Well Wishers,
Today’s spotlight is on Dianne Betty, my Mom. Firstly, it’s Mom’s Birthday today. Here’s wishing you many Happy Returns with vibrant Health, Friends and Laughter to share your days, Love and Joy for all you do, Kindness and Peace returning to You!
As a Well Wishers Group feature I would like to highlight how much Mom has been a guiding light for me in how to bring Kindness and Generosity to the world. Mom has the biggest, most generous heart I know. It extends to everyone she knows and meets in concrete, caring ways.
Just the other day, Mom mentioned in this heatwave an older lady was going to walk home from the grocery store with her bags and Mom made sure to drive her home instead. The lady said “Bless You, Dear”. My Mom truly is blessed with a generous spirit.
If you are new to the neighborhood, Mom will be the first one to welcome you and your family. She’ll have made you up your first dinner, with a few essential items you’d even forgotten yourself because you were too busy moving in. She’ll bring in your newspapers, mail, recycling bins so it doesn’t look like you’re away, look after your house when you do go away, cat-sit, dog-sit – she’s the go-to person in any emergency.
The number of dear friends Mom has driven to Doctor’s and Hospital appointments you couldn’t begin to count. She’s by their side for visits and phone calls – a most loyal and caring friend.
Mom is a master at whipping up a gorgeous meal at a moment’s notice for friends who stop by. All done with a smile and tailored to the particular visitor’s taste. When I grew up it was Mom who had all the neighborhood kids at the house. She welcomes everyone. She has a soft spot for those kids who might be seen as “trouble”. Whenever she joined a school trip a few of these students would be placed in her group and the teacher would marvel how she had brought out the best in them.
So how does Mom do it? With Kindness…
Thank you Mom for making the world a better place for our family and everyone you meet. You are a true inspiration. God Bless you, Dear Mom!
As is becoming customary here at Well Wisher’s Group I drew three Angel Cards for Mom…
Pure Love – Balance – Silence
Of course, Pure Love! Balance is necessary when you give so often of yourself and Silence because Mom just does these good deeds naturally, she doesn’t look for acknowledgement or fanfare. Well today Mom, a little fanfare from your daughter – one of your many fans!
In honor of Mom and our Leo Birthday friends I add this Sunflower bouquet. This was the table center-piece from Zach and Salome’s wedding last week.
